Made a little too hastily for Tanya - but will keep the pegs warm and ready for pegging purposes in your new home I hope!
Sent off another little parcel - I like packaging things up!
I have made this type of tape (below) for years - I had no idea that it had a name, Washi tape - easy to make and will use up those extra teeny tiny scraps and weeny off cuts. Double sided tape is all that is needed - easy for the children to make too and prettier than Sello!
The moral is never throw anything away - the minute you do you know you will find a use for it!!!
A warm welcome to new followers.
Good idea Jenny, I saw something similar a couple of weeks ago, always on the lookout for ideas to use up scraps....can't bare to throw any of them away! Double sided sticky tape it is then!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like my suitcase, and yes I do remember grasshopper, and it only seems like yesterday!
I think wrapping up pressies is almost the best part! Ada :)
Suitcase Empire in the making Ada! Well done again grasshopper (I loved that programme!)

That's the odd thing about the Internet - you see craft things that you have been doing for years and discover other people do them too, AND the Japanese have come up with a name for it!
ReplyDeleteweekend blessings x
Indeed Angela - some things I have been making for twenty plus years or more and thought I was the only one!! A bit naive to think that I was one in 7 billion to have thought of something!

Pretty, pretty! I love the peg bag and the pegs did you paint them? The sellotape idea is wonderful - shall be using that!

Many thanks Julie - these pegs I did a couple of years ago and just glued some nice paper on them, they have stayed on fine and easy to do. Here are some that I did paint (quick and easy) http://thecustards.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/dog-and-birds-bag.html

Dang, I was in Hobbycraft yesterday and saw double-sided tape and thought "I wonder if I could use that somehow for something..." and then hubby distracted me by getting all excited over the craft lamps..and I forgot to buy it. Double dang because I have heaps of fabric scraps that could be put to good use. Love that tape idea - and trust the Japanese to brand it with a cute name!! I suppose WH Smith will have the tape though? I shall wander into town and have a look - strikes me as a good crafty thing to do on Saturday night to distract from the woefully poor telly on offer.
ReplyDeleteLovely stuff as always Jenny -good for perking one up. That peg bag is divine.
Look forward to seeing your Washi tape wendz (perhaps we could name it something else - the children and I have always called it fabricos tape). I think that I got the double sided tape from B&Q or maybe Wilcos - I have only been to Hobbycraft once and I thought it all a bit pricey (but I am very mean)

Now you're talking Barbara - just the sort of Chrismtas pressy that I like, add in a few decorated pegs and perhaps an old tablelcoth to get the pegging out process started!
